The first semi-final of the women’s drawn pairs played last weekend at Toti BC saw Doreen Salmond and Leonie Mills pit their skills against Val de Kok and Jane Coetzee. Doreen and Leonie won through to take their place in the finals. Well done also to Adie Fuller who has won through to the semi-finals of the men’s open singles, by defeating Vince Phaal.

Several first round games of the women’s open singles were played over the long weekend. In her game, Nicky Stirzaker was one up after the 23rd end, but Doreen Salmond put down a three to win after 25 hard-fought ends.
