EDITOR – I am currently visiting Amanzimtoti and have been down to the lagoon to take photos of the wonderful birdlife.
How they survive in the filth, I have no idea.
You guys have such a gem with the lagoon and surrounds, however the rubbish and litter that lies around is disgusting to say the least.
Hats off to Michael, who should be commended and acknowledged by every person living in this town. Off his own bat and expense, he tries to keep it relatively clean. He takes his own black bags and picks up the litter that others so easily discard. Well done Michael, at least you are proud and concerned about your environment.
To those who litter, you are only chasing away money and tourism, as well as ruining something soo beautiful.
