Toti looking good

The pigeons are fast becoming a problem in the area and have begun roosting on flat balconies and so on.

EDITOR – As an occasional holidaymaker to Toti, it is good to see the roads all newly tarred and things generally in good order.

Work has commenced on the heavy rain damage and already the pavement repaired and tarred.

Toti boasts one of the finest beaches on the South Coast and is a popular holiday resort with nice flats and cabanas along Beach Road.

There is one serious eyesore in Beach Road which is a derelict three-storey house in shocking, run-down condition which lowers the standard of adjacent blocks of flats and the whole area generally. This building has become a breeding ground for pigeons which have access into the roof in many places. They also are breeding in the house as the top floor has many missing windows.

The pigeons are fast becoming a problem in the area and have begun roosting on flat balconies and so on. They are also carriers of lice and disease.

It is high time the local govt officials and health dept did something serious about condeming this property and getting its owners to sort it out.

Several letters to the municipality have resulted in no action whatsoever.
