Animals also get lonely

At first I was upset as I thought the dog was not being fed but after contacting the SPCA, who confirmed he gets food, I saw no problem.

EDITOR – I would like to share the heartwarming tale of a big brown dog which has been seen at Seadoone Mall since last October.

He had a shoelace tied around his neck, which my husband and the security guard removed but not without some doing.

At first I was upset as I thought the dog was not being fed but after contacting the SPCA, who confirmed he gets food, I saw no problem.

The moral of the story is that even animals get lonely. Mr Dog must have felt this as I understood he was gone for a whole day and came back with his girlfriend, a similar breed but a bit smaller in size. Where he came upon her, only he will know.

I was there late one afternoon as the guard called them for food, and both ran to him, wagging their tails. It’s such an amazing thing to realise that animals can also get lonely.
