Kindness of taxi drivers appreciated

To my astonishment the driver of the taxi got out, removed one of the cones in order for me to get out of their lane.

EDITOR – Going to Galleria on Friday, 10 June at about 4.30pm, I took the wrong lane to go into the undercover parking.

I must also mention, that I was not feel well and my head felt like it had been stuffed with cotton wool.

To cut a long story short, there came three taxis towards me. I couldn’t reverse, and the same for the first taxi in front of me. I said ‘sorry’ to the driver and looked backward to see about reversing.

To my astonishment the driver of the taxi got out, removed one of the cones in order for me to get out of their lane. He did all of this with a smile – no swearing, mumbling, talking in his own language or showing of fingers, hands or whatever.

I thanked him and said he was a real gentleman. He put the cone away before driving off. The rest of the taxi drivers passing me smiled and waved at me, as I mouthed ‘sorry’ to them.

Thank you Mr Taxi Driver for being kind towards me.
