Thank yous all round for aid after fall

I’d like to urge everyone to support CCPO as their service is exceptional.

EDITOR – On Monday, 21 December 2015, I had the most horrific accident at home, having fallen off a ladder while cleaning windows.

This resulted in severe injuries and trauma to my left leg.

Two months and six operations later, I am on a long but steady road to recovery.

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the following:

CCPO: Within minutes four CCPO vehicles were at my residence, liaising with emergency services and the ambulance for urgent attention. They kept me calm and shaded me from the sun. My grateful thanks go out to them. I’d like to urge everyone to support CCPO as their service is exceptional.

Emergency services: The paramedics who arrived promptly were kind, gentle and genuinely caring as they stabilised and rushed me to Kingsway Hospital. I have very little recollection of this, but sincerely – thank you for your outstanding service.

Kingsway Hospital: Every member of their nursing, catering and cleaning staff in the orthopaedic ward who all nursed and cared for me brilliantly through my extreme pain, tears, fear of drips and needles. Also for bearing with my loud laughter on those rare occasions. You could never be paid enough for the unbelievable work you do.

My doctors, Dr B Stathoulis, Dr A Pillay and Dr D Pillay, I am forever indebted to you and your brilliance.
