Scooter rider a nervous wreck after road rage incident

It is disgusting that we have to put up with drivers that think they are the only people entitled to use the road.

EDITOR – In response to Anne Atos’ letter regarding, ‘Motorist witnesses disturbing road rage incident,” Sun, 30 January, I am glad someone brought this to the public’s attention.

The scooter rider is a woman lives on my property and travels on her scooter to Prospecton to work and back all week. She was a nervous wreck when she got home that day.

When the vehicle in question passed her, the driver showed her the middle finger. The next thing, the driver was  on the side of the road waiting for her. She has become familiar to a number of drivers who regularly make her life difficult on the road for no reason. When it’s raining it’s much worse and she gets home drenched as there are certain drivers that will purposefully drive through the deep puddles at speed and as close to her as they dare. I myself have seen motorists give scooter riders problems for no apparent reason, even causing them to fall in some cases.

It is disgusting that we have to put up with drivers that think they are the only people entitled to use the road. They should be caught and made to travel the same way as the less-fortunate people and see how they like it, the roads are bad enough without these idiots.
