EDITOR – In a follow-up to my response in your previous issue, ‘Security guard caught sleeping on duty,’ Sun, 23 January, regarding the matter of private security guards not performing to expectation during the past festive season.
We have since entertained a meeting with both beach management and senior representatives from Enforce who have assured us that the photographic evidence was sufficient to institute disciplinary action against certain individuals.
In addition, all parties agreed to a more clearly defined line of responsibility where it stands towards the municipality contracting with third party service providers who for the period of engagement, are subject to the jurisdiction of municipal structures.
