EDITOR – I would just like to express my thanks to the Metro Police for their efficient control of the hordes that descended on Beach Road and the Inyoni picnic area during the festive season.
On Tuesday, 16 December in the late afternoon the picnic area was filled with people who played extremely loud music, they opened their boots to make sure that everyone could hear their deafening music and all their shouting and screaming.
Residents and holidaymakers in the building adjoining the picnic area could not hear themselves speak or watch TV. I had to close all my windows and sat in the extreme heat but the loud music still made it impossible to sleep.
Out of desperation I phoned the Toti Metro Police and spoke to a very helpful gentleman. Shortly afterwards several Metro Police cars arrived with loudspeakers and sorted out the troublemakers and finally there was peace.
