Warning: Killer dogs roam Doonheights streets

EDITOR - It is with a very sad heart that I write this letter.

On Friday 16 May, at about 2.30pm, two large dogs that were roaming the street, broke through our fence, attacked our dog and dragged her out onto the verge, where they continued to attack her.
Our dog succumbed to her severe injuries, despite the efforts made by the local veterinarian to stitch her gaping wounds.
I hope the owners of these dogs, one a large brown dog and the other brown and white, sleep easily at night, knowing they have killers in their midst.
My fear is that it will not stop here and that other pets or  perhaps even a child are savaged by these dogs.
The attack occurred in Poplar Road, but we have no idea where the dogs came from, so I urge all Doonheights residents to be on the look out for these killers and if they are seen, to contact the SPCA so that they can be removed from the streets.
