Concern over food at bird sanctuary

Is there anyway we can find out what the food situation is there?

EDITOR – On Thursday, 6 March, I visited the local bird sanctuary.

I always take along a loaf of bread.

I was so sad to realise that the ducks and birds there get very little or no food. I was told about three months ago by one of the workers that very little food gets given there. At that time, I bought a bag of mielies and told the worker to give them a little every day. Is there anyway we can find out what the food situation is there? It would be great if each visitor could take along a small bag of food when they visit.

The ducks follow me around when I am there – they are so tame (or hungry). So sad.
