Amanzimtoti learners get the inside scoop on journalism [Video]

Learners at Amanzimtoti Primary School were treated to an exciting talk on journalism for their school’s Careers Day.

THE South Coast Sun editor Roelien D’Amico visited the Grade Seven learners at Amanzimtoti Primary School for their school’s Careers Day, where she delivered an exciting talk on journalism.

From explaining the different forms of journalism like print, broadcast, digital, investigative and photojournalism, to describing the personal qualities necessary for one to become a journalist, D’Amico gave learners a reality check on what it really means to be a journalist. She even managed to keep it entertaining with a small game of trying to identify what was wrong with various headlines.

They also received valuable tips on beginning their path of journalism and where exactly to start. The day was filled with lots of laughs, smiles and inquisitive and eager learners.
