Kamalinee Primary learners excel at coding tournament

Learners from Kamalinee Primary School engaged in a coding and robotics tournament in support of Mandela Day.

FIVE senior primary learners from Kamalinee Primary School recently participated in a coding and robotics tournament in Newlands West.

The event, called #CodingForMandela, was held at the Midway Crossing Library in support of Mandela Day.

Muskan Husman and Keaton Naicker in Grade Six, and Amina Rahim, Ariyan Naidoo and Mayushan Moodley in Grade 7 were accompanied by their teacher, Shivasthi Singh-Rajpal.

In a statement, the school said the learners all had an amazing day.

“The learners participated in a Rangers game where they had to build a puzzle to go to the next level. The game consisted of 30 levels which had to be completed within the timeframe of 67 minutes. Our team went up to level 24. We are so proud of our team.”
