Durban South Training Centre offers fully funded artisan programme

Applicants have until February 29 to apply for the fully funded artisan training programme.

THE Durban South Training Centre (DSTT) is calling all aspiring artisans to apply for its fully funded artisan training programme by February 29.

According to a statement by the DSTT, they are starting their 2024 intake and are looking for individuals with drive and determination to become artisan learners.

“If you’re a South African citizen between the ages of 18 and 35, and you’re ready to meet our requirements, this fully funded programme is your ticket to success,” it read.

To qualify, applicants must have completed Grade 12 or equivalent with a pass in mathematics and physical science.

They can choose one of the following disciplines: mechanical fitting, welding or boilermaking.

To apply, applicants are expected to hand-deliver a comprehensive CV, and include their preferred trade, certified ID documents, as well as academic records to 50 Prospecton Road.

The process will include shortlisting, interview, medical and fitness assessment, security clearance and qualification verification.

Only hand-delivered CVs will be considered. The closing date is February 29. If no response is received within four weeks, consider the application unsuccessful.
