Past president Neil McDonald said that Debbie, who has been involved in various rotary programmes, is also the person who manages the inter-actors at the school.

“Inter-actors are ‘potential Rotarians’ who are community-orientated and know how to help people. Not only to give but to help people help themselves,” he said.

The vocational award goes to people in different categories. “Debbie has been instrumental in guiding the young people, training them in community support as well as showing them where the needs are in the community,” said Neil.

He added that she is a very enthusiastic woman with a zest for life – a real go-getter. “She gets things done rather than procrastinating,” said Neil.

The club thanked her for always supporting them and helping with the inter-actors.
