Tidy Towns Amanzimtoti grateful for generous donation

The large financial donation has helped alleviate some of the weekly challenges experienced by the community-driven project.

TIDY Towns Amanzimtoti recently received a whopping R10 000 donation from Mr Tank in Illovo Business Park, to ensure it can continue uplifting the town.

Mariska Marais of Mr Tank said, “They have done so much good for our community and have really made some nice changes. It’s refreshing to help an organisation that actually needs it. We encourage all business owners in Amanzimtoti to do the same. Many people forget that the smallest donation makes a difference; the smallest donation gets put to good use.”

Michelle Dunnett, coordinator of the community-driven project, said they are immensely grateful for the generous donation.

“This donation not only provides crucial financial assistance but also serves as a beacon of hope for our community. It demonstrates their belief in our efforts and reinforces the value of the work we do. We face weekly challenges in maintaining our team and sustaining our mission, and their donation has alleviated some of those pressures. It is heartening to know that individuals and businesses alike recognise the importance of fostering a cleaner and more vibrant community,” she said.

Dunnett added that the more support they receive from the community and businesses, the more work they can do to uplift and beautify the town.
