THE Amanzimtoti SPCA is having a Christmas Photo Competition and appeals for support in order to make the last open day of the year a success.
On November 25, from 08:30 to 12:00, the SPCA will host its Christmas market. In an attempt to raise awareness and much-needed funds for the animals in its care, it hosts open days to showcase the work it does.

In addition to petting animals, browsing stalls, grabbing a bite to eat and finding bargains in its thrift store, this year, the SPCA is encouraging people to enter its Christmas Photo Competition.
The SPCA’s Michelle Hannan said, “We would like people to email us a photo of their pet with a heartwarming story. Entries are R50 a pet, and there are prizes to be won. Judging will be done by the public on the open day. They can email us at pro@sppcatoti.co.za.”
Hannan added that they would also appreciate any sponsored prizes for the day or donations of sweet or savoury baked goods. Stalls are available at R100 each; electricity is not supplied. Bring along your own table and gazebo. Bookings close on November 23 at 15:00.
The address is 1 Nyati Road, Athlone Park. For more information or to sponsor prizes, donate baked goods or book a stall, contact the Amanzimtoti SPCA on 031 904 2424.
