Amanzimtoti youth desk elects executive members

The Amanzimtoti Youth Crime Prevention Desk was looking for passionate, dedicated young individuals.

ON OCTOBER 10, the Amanzimtoti Youth Crime Prevention Desk (AYCPD) held a meeting at the Amanzimtoti SAPS’ lecture room to elect new members to its executive committee.

AYCPD’s spokesperson Austin Gounden said they were looking for passionate, dedicated young individuals between the ages of 18 and 35 to fill the positions of vice-chairperson, vice-secretary and additional members.

“We are pleased to announce and introduce our newly elected members to our executive committee. We would like to thank Jenise Singh-Mewalal and Dane de Klerk from the Amanzimtoti Community Police Forum for joining us on the day,” said Gounden.

Shay Naicker was elected vice-chairperson, Brandon Hitchens as vice-secretary and Entle Mgwebi and Nkanyiso Hlongwa as additional members.

Nqobani Shabalala – secretary
Austin Gounden – public relations officer
Brittney Bertasso – treasurer
Thando Ntuli – additional member
Gerhardus Van Den Bergh – additional member
