This was said by the CCPO’s George Snodey after a number of suspected stolen items were recovered over the past few weeks. Some of the things recovered include clothing, shoes, tools, headphones, a battery charger, water taps and much more.

One of the suspected thieves was caught near Rockview Road in Amanzimtoti on September 7 as he tried to break into a house. Snodey said the neighbourhood watch, the CCPO, ET Rapid Response, Amanzimtoti SAPS Crime Prevention Unit and Blue Security – Durban responded.

“The suspect was caught and handed over to SAPS, who arrested and charged him,” said Snodey.
