In a statement, SCT said the more membership that is generated, the more projects that can be considered going forward.
“This is to promote tourism and enterprises in this region,” it said.
Some benefits of becoming an SCT member include a display of your brochures in the tourist information bureau, market promotions through Durban Tourism, regular correspondence on what’s happening in the tourism corridors, a listing on the SCT database and a membership certificate, and social media advertising on Facebook and Instagram.
“SCT members are also listed in the Sapphire Coast visitor guide directory, and we facilitate general networking and overflow opportunities among all stakeholders,” it said.
Accommodation establishments pay R950 per annum, and associated members that include restaurants, attractions, spas, shuttle services, tour operators, etc. pay R600 per annum for membership.
