Applications for trading stalls in Toti and Isipingo open

Full-time informal traders are encouraged to submit applications before the Friday, July 28 closing date.

ETHEKWINI Municipality’s Business Support, Tourism, Markets and Agri-Business Unit has invited informal traders to apply for available trading sites in Amanzimtoti, Warner Beach and Isipingo before the closing date of July 28.

Applicants can forward the applications if they are going to be trading on a full-time basis, are unemployed and have no other business and do not have another trading stall within eThekwini.

In Warner Beach, one stall is open at the beachfront for arts and crafts. At the Amanzimtoti Promenade, one stall is open for arts and crafts. At the Isipingo Block C taxi rank, five stalls are vacant, at Isipingo Block C, three stalls are vacant, and at the Isipingo Block D taxi rank, six stalls are available.

The application letter should include the following information:
• Trading activity / list of products to be sold
• South African ID copy – if a foreign national, then a legal work permit must be produced
• State if you are physically challenged and supply proof
• Address and provide proof of address
• State your gender
• Include your contact details

Applications should be directed and submitted to the contact person / area manager in the area that you wish to trade in. For Isipingo, contact Nondumiso Mhlongo on 082 608 3336 or 031 9022024 or send an email to ondumiso.mhlongo@durban.gov.za.
For Amanzimtoti and Warner Beach applications, contact Vumi Mchunu on 083 626 9669 or 031 322 9686 / 29688. An email can be sent to vumi.mchunu@durban.gov.za.
