WBSNW chairperson Norman Lavery said the recent theft of the SPCA’s bakkie motivated the neighbourhood watch to make the R1 000 donation. The vehicle was later recovered but was badly damaged.

“We don’t just deal with security, but we are also involved in charity projects because we are part of the community,” said Norman.

Accepting the donation, Michelle Hannan thanked Norman and the neighbourhood watch for the good deed. “It always touches our hearts when we receive a donation like this one because we understand there are many charities in the community that are as deserving,” said Michelle.
