Ons Winkel needs donations

The proceeds are also used for several projects that are aimed at alleviating, ending and preventing poverty.

THE Solidarity Helping Hand’s charity shop, Ons Winkel, appeals for donations to continue doing its wonderful work. Ons Winkel will gladly take donations of clothing, furniture, antiques, kitchenware, bedding, curtains, toys, shoes, sports and technological equipment or anything else that can be sold again.

Karen Duyvestyn, who is the shop’s owner, said the money made from the sale of these goods is used for Helping Hand’s Study Fund, as well as other initiatives in the community.

“At the moment, we are finding it difficult financially, and we are desperate for any preloved items that can be resold. There is value in almost everything, and your donation could go a long way,” said Karen.

The Helping Hand’s Study Fund provides interest-free study loans to needy students who qualify to study further but do not have the financial means to do so. The proceeds are also used for several other projects, such as children and senior organisations that are aimed at alleviating, ending and preventing poverty.

Everything that is sold in the shop comes through donations, and the more donations are made and people buy, the more beneficiaries can receive assistance.
