Help Hearts of Toti provide food and warmth to those in need

With limited funds and resources, the non-profit organisation is appealing to the community to donate towards its hamper handout on June 7.

WITH the cooler winter weather starting to set in, Hearts of Toti are appealing to the community to donate warm clothes and food to those in need.

The non-profit organisation assists those who are going through hardships that have rendered them destitute and in need. Its volunteers hand out monthly food hampers to families in Amanzimtoti and surrounds, amongst many other initiatives, including handing out clothes and blankets.

Hearts of Toti co-founder Shanay Kapp says that every day they are getting requests from families needing assistance. “Our resources are so limited. We can only help with your help,” she said.

Co-founder Alta Erasmus says, “Warm clothing, blankets and especially Kuswag Skool tracksuits and jerseys are in great need. Please remember us when throwing out or donating these items.”

The food, clothing and hampers will be handed out on Wednesday, June 7. “Please support us if you going shopping,” added Erasmus.
