As a non-government organisation that does not receive funding, coupled with the continued rise in fuel price, the hospice has been affected financially.
“We need to put petrol in our vehicles to be able to do our work. For us to be able to do home-based care and get to our patients, we need reliable cars and petrol,” said Neil.
Nursing manager Sister Sue van Rijsbergen added that they are thankful and happy that they are able to provide the care that they are providing.
