New date given for Amazing Race Amanzimtoti

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the event has now been postponed until the end of the month.

THE Amazing Race Amanzimtoti 2023, set to take place at Mills Bomb Shellhole in Warner Beach, has been postponed to Saturday, May 27, due to unforeseen circumstances.

Co-founder of Amazing Events, Nandia Blom, said one of their bigger stops encountered a problem and one of the organisers had a family emergency.

Although a few teams have had to cancel, there are currently 17 with about 10 still needed.

The event is modelled after the CBS show, The Amazing Race. Teams of four or five, at R200 per person, compete in mental and physical challenges at secret locations in and around Amanzimtoti. The challenges are all lighthearted and nothing too strenuous.

At the start of the race, the organisers will supply the necessary clues and riddles to enable contestants to follow the route, which consists of a number of stops, with various activities participants need to complete at each stop.

The focus is fun, creativity, and fundraising. Winners will be determined using a point system, with various vouchers and prizes to be distributed for best-dressed, best team spirit, and more.
