Network offers online tuition and material for learners

The MTN school offers after-school support upon request and dedicated lessons, especially before exams, for Grade 10 to 12 students.

DID you know that MTN has an online school for grades R to 12, offering video lessons, assessments and learning material?

FET learners from grades 10 to 12 have additional features, such as after-school support upon request and dedicated lessons, especially before exams.

The portal is available to all learners, and it is free to register. If you are an MTN subscriber, you will not incur data costs.

At the launch in 2021, MTN SA Chief Executive Officer, Mr Godfrey Motsa, said the portal can be used by a teacher during a classroom lesson, or by a learner on their own.

“A full content library will be added to the platform and made available over a period of three years, focusing on key subjects. Video lessons will also be provided with a sign language interpreter to accommodate deaf learners,” said Motsa.

The online learning hub is also endorsed by the Department of Basic Education.

“The MTN Online School is a fit-for-purpose digital tool to take our basic education to the next level. The online portal is agile, innovative and modern.

“Together with the innovation and commitment to societal change by MTN, today’s launch of the MTN Online School is a significant leap forward for education and ushers in positive change for communities across South Africa,” Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga Motshekga said.

Learning material is provided in the form of videos, PDFs and links, which can be accessed at www.mtnonline.co.za.
