The SPCA aims to raise funds to rescue and rehabilitate animals.

THE Amanzimtoti SPCA appeals to bakers and community members to consider donating baked goods for its volunteers to sell at their open day on May 27.

In an attempt to raise awareness and much-needed funds for the animals in its care, the Toti SPCA hosts open days to showcase the work it does.

The fun-filled day sees stallholders and volunteers selling various items, food and drinks in aid of the non-profit organisation and its running costs, such as food, medical and daily expenses. Toti SPCA’s Michelle Hannan said, “Sadly, we had a poor donation of baked goods and savoury treats the last time. So, I am asking in advance this time. Please consider baking or donating baked goods for our cause.”

The SPCA is also always in need of kitten/ cat and puppy/ dog soft food and pellets.

Food can be dropped off at Dr Hoole Doonside Vet or the SPCA’s food bins at Pick ’n Pay Hyper Arbour Crossing and Kingsburgh.

For more information or to assist with baked goods, contact the Toti SPCA on 031 904 2424. Alternatively, monetary donations can be made into the following bank account: Amanzimtoti SPCA, First National Bank, Galleria branch, Bank code: 220127, Account number: 62807184552.
