Khanya Hospice welcomes new Toti shop manager

The hospice is always looking for volunteers and/or donations of unwanted household goods for their charity shops.

KHANYA Hospice welcomes the new Amanzimtoti Hospice Shop manager, Ronel van Reenan, and appeals for donations and volunteers.

CEO of Khanya Hospice Neil McDonald welcomed Ronel after the previous long-term manager, Sarie Pretorius, suffered a stroke at the end of last year, which left her unable to work again.

“We have already thanked her for all her years of faithful service and wish her a speedy recovery,” said Neil.

He said they have been fortunate to find a person like Ronel to follow up the good work that Sarie did. The hospice is always looking for volunteers to help in their hospice shops, which helps them generate an income to sustain the free palliative nursing care that they offer.

“So if you have time on your hands one morning, afternoon or full day, please contact Ronel,” said Neil.

Alternatively, donations of unwanted goods, furniture, cutlery, crockery and other household items are welcome and encouraged. The address is 400 Andrew Zondo Road, above Vikings Fish and Chips.

For more information, to donate or volunteer, contact the hospice on 083 597 8985 or at hospice@khanyahospice.co.za.
