Ringball open day to be held in Toti

Anyone aged nine and up may register and take part in the ringball games on February 4. Registrations close on February 2.

THE Kwazulu-Natal Ringball Schools Development open day will be held on February 4 at Hutchison Park. Registrations open at 07:30. One of the organisers, Vicki Schoeman, said all boys and girls aged from nine and up to adults are welcome to register and join.

“Bring the whole family. Entries for teams close on February 2,” said Vicki.

Ringball is a traditional, South African, non-contact, fast-playing sport that can be played by both male and female teams of all ages. Some of its elements are similar to netball and korfball.

School teams and children can register for free. Adult teams can register at a cost of R200 per team or R20 per adult.
There will be a braai and karaoke at the rugby club premises afterwards from 18:00 until late. Bring your own meat, and salads will be provided at R35 per plate. A cash bar will also be available.
