Toti High to host fundraiser for Baby Liané

Local residents and businesses can support the fundraiser for a wheelchair for Liané Russouw who has a type of cancer that means she can’t learn to walk.

ON Thursday, February 2, Amanzimtoti High School will have a doughnut sale from 10:00 to 14:00 to help raise funds for Liané Rossouw’s wheelchair that will be manufactured for her.

Liané was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a type of cancer, in December 2020, and she is unable to walk. The wheelchair will cost R28 000.

The school’s sports marketing officer, Gideon Cordier, said they need to sell 1 500 doughnuts on the day. “The sales are also open to local businesses and residents, too, and they can contact me until Wednesday to arrange delivery,” said Gideon.

The doughnuts cost R8 each, and anyone who wants to place an order can contact Gideon on 081 208 2628.
