Workers rescued from burning building in Isipingo

Fortunately, there were no fatalities.

A SWIFT response by emergency services ensured that no fatalities nor injuries occurred after a building caught fire in Isipingo on Thursday, January 19. It is not clear what caused the four-storey building on Khan Road to catch alight.

A statement from PT Medical Response said its personnel worked alongside eThekwini Municipality’s firefighters to bring the situation under control.

“The fire was extinguished, and all workers were evacuated safely from the building,” it read.
