Masilela, who originates from Limpopo, published her book in December last year, and it is entitled The Real Identity. It contains 366 devotions to help the reader discover and understand their identity in Jesus.

“People are looking for their identity, and through this devotional, I want to show how they need to open their spiritual eyes to be able to get to know who they are. When people discover and embrace their spiritual identity, their destiny changes positively,” said Masilela.

Masilela is a wife, a mother, and a pastor. She also runs a non-profit organisation that distributes food parcels to the unfortunate in different communities. She has already finished the manuscripts for two novels that she is also going to see published in the near future. Her love for reading and writing was ignited while she was still in high school, after reading a novel that was published by one of her teachers.

“I enjoyed reading it and got hooked from there. Writing is educational for me, and I believe that everyone has a message. I use writing to spread mine,” she said.

Since publishing a book is not cheap, Masilela believes you need a dedicated team around you that works well together in order to be able to produce an excellent product.

The book can be ordered from most online bookshops for R260. For enquiries, Masilela can be contacted via Whatsapp on 076 316 1794.
