WATCH: 4 men allegedly steal from late councillor’s construction site

A surveillance camera shows the men load building materials from the site into their bakkie and drive off.

A VIDEO purporting to show a group of men stealing from a construction site in Amanzimtoti in broad daylight has been shared on Facebook.

Plot 55 Cato Crescent is where former eThekwini Municipality Ward 90 councillor Sunil Brijmohan was shot and killed in October last year while supervising construction. The video, taken by a surveillance camera at around 11:15, shows a white bakkie with a canopy stop at the address and four men alighting. The men quickly load building materials from the site into their bakkie and drive off.

At the time of publication, Amanzimtoti SAPS had not confirmed whether a case of theft had been opened.
