Wanderers’ Haven founders Johnny and Sharon Swanepoel signed the lease for the land in October, and they are in the process of building a place of safety for those in need. On the plot once stood a house that became a landmark called the ‘triple-storey shack’.

“We need sand to fill the plot with sand. If you know of sand available at a reasonable cost, kindly let us know directly – please don’t go to the neighbours of the plot. No rubble and garden refuse, please, and do not dump your garden refuse on the plot,” said Johnny. He can be contacted on 081 587 1821.

Any donations towards the building of the new place of safety can be made using the following banking details with reference: ‘Building’.
First National Bank
Cheque account – 62858409131.
