Domino Foundation receives donation from Amanzimtoti Primary

Kyle’s companion, Matthew Cullen, a learner at Warner Beach Preparatory School, was not shy to challenge other Amanzimtoti learners to be part of Domino’s ongoing effort to supply 'brain food' to their peers in other schools.

THE Domino Foundation’s Nutrition programme thanks the learners at Amanzimtoti Primary School for their great response to their peanut butter appeal.

‘Wow, you are champions’ was Kyle Schubach’s considered and enthusiastically-expressed opinion of his fellow learners at Amanzimtoti Primary School.

“Their outstanding response in the school’s drive to collect jars of peanut butter for The Domino Foundation’s Nutrition programme had brought in 200 jars of the nutritious ‘tawny-coloured goo’,” said communications officer, Rowan Phillips.

Kyle’s accolade was echoed by the programme’s leader, Cheryl Dann, who said, “We are so grateful to these young people. We deliver peanut butter sandwiches to the schools and early childhood development (ECD) crèches each day to the 1 800 children on the nutrition programme. This gift of peanut butter will be enough for two months’ worth of sandwiches.”

Kyle’s companion, Matthew Cullen, a learner at Warner Beach Preparatory School, was not shy to challenge other Amanzimtoti learners to be part of Domino’s ongoing effort to supply ‘brain food’ to their peers in other schools, who would otherwise not have anything to eat during the school day.

For more information, contact Cheryl Dann on 083 201 0554, or at nutritionsouth@domino.org.za. Alternatively, donations of peanut butter can be delivered to the programme’s Doonside kitchens at 24 Queens Terrace.
