BREAKING: Cash-in-transit robbery in Doonside

The men fled in a white bakkie towards the N2 highway.

A CASH-IN-TRANSIT robbery was committed in Seadoone Mall in Doonside today, Thursday, November 17, just before 15:00.

According to information received from a local security company, three men held up a cash-in-transit vehicle not far from the mall’s main entrance. The robbers allegedly shot in the air, but it is not clear yet whether they retrieved any cash.

It is said that the men then fled towards the N2 in a white bakkie that had no registration plates.
The robbery comes a day after a Pep store was robbed of cellphones worth R500 000, as well as clothing.
