eThekwini warns Durban residents of upcoming water supply disruption

According to the municipality, the cause of the disruption is that Umgeni Water will be conducting urgent maintenance work on the Wiggins Water Treatment plant.

THE eThekwini Municipality has released a statement advising residents and businesses of a disruption of water supply to areas supplied by the Wiggin’s Water Treatment Plant.

According to the eThekwini Municipality spokesperson Msawakhe Mayisela, the cause of the disruption is that Umgeni Water will be conducting urgent maintenance work on this treatment plant.

“The disruption will start at 08:00 on November 15 until 20:00 on the same day,” said Mayisela.

The Municipality advises residents in the following areas to prepare for the disruption:

• Sydenham, Sherwood, Bonela, Sparks.
