Protecting children from crime

Local stakeholders joined forces to educate the children at Warner Beach Preparatory School on risks to their safety.

AMANZIMTOTI police station and the Amanzimtoti Community Police Forum (CPF) facilitated an awareness workshop for learners at Warner Beach Preparatory School recently.

The school joined the Social Crime Prevention Campaign of the Amanzimtoti police station’s Social Crime Prevention team and Amanzimtoti CPF. They thank the principal and teachers for prioritising the safety and protection of their learners.

“The aim of the campaign is firstly to educate the children and society at large on the risks to their safety and to equip them with safety information, resources, as well as physical and online situational awareness.

Our second goal is to connect local stakeholders and role-players to encourage partnerships and a sense of ownership in addressing the issues in each neighbourhood,” said Amanzimtoti CPF public relations officer Estelle van Eeden.
