“We all know someone with cancer, so show your support by baking in honour of them for National Cupcake Day. Help us raise funds to support children fighting cancer, who depend on us,” she said.

For the Cupcakes of Hope non-profit organisation’s 10th birthday, it hopes to raise R10m nationally. The funds raised will enable them to continue the much-needed support they provide to hundreds of young cancer patients and their families every month.

Since 2021, the number of patients supported by this organisation has doubled. Last month alone, over 240 young cancer patients received financial assistance.

For more information, or to donate cupcakes, contact Shyanne Kanayee on 079 343 7291 or Emmie Barnard on 082 770 7998.
