The Uminini Thusong Centre is one of several across the city, and its aim is to take government information, services and development programmes to rural and under-serviced communities.

eThekwini’s spokesperson Msawakhe Mayisela said services offered at the centres include government and municipal services such as the Department of Home Affairs, SASSA, Sizakala centres and libraries.

“Everyone is invited to join in the open day, Operation Mbo and other activities where communities will be able to engage with government departments and the municipality. We hope to see you there,” said Mayisela.
