The CommUnity Project to host charity market day

Various charity organisations will be in attendance, in hopes of obtaining some much-needed donations.

THE CommUnity Project will be hosting their first Market Day on August 27, at Shoprite/ Toti Mall to showcase some of the charity organisations in Amanzimtoti.

From 08:00 to 14:00, different non-profit organisations (NPOs) and and non-government organisations (NGOs) within Amanzimtoti will each have a table set up, with someone representing the respective charity.

These include Seed of Hope, Hearts of Toti, Mother of Peace-Illovo, Jabulani, Jona Vaughan, Kingsburgh Child and Family Welfare and Amanzimtoti SPCA.

“The goal is to help them raise much-needed funds for foodstuffs and maintenance. There will also be trolleys available for donations,” said one of the organisers, Vanessa Wilson.

There will be various items for sale including sweet and savoury baked goods, pancakes, boerewors rolls and biryani. “We will also be running raffles with some lovely prizes to be drawn after the market closes,” said Vanessa.
