Content Producer

Content is the foundation of digital marketing and Content Producers are the backbone of a digital marketing team. Without content, there would be little to nothing to use for marketing purposes. This is where Content Producers come in. From writers, reviewers, and graphic designers; to photographers and video editors, these talented individuals are responsible for producing carefully crafted content for digital marketing purposes in the form of social media posts, blogs, email newsletters, and landing pages, amongst other forms of content. The purpose of producing content is to draw in the target audience and keep established customers backing back again and again.

Content Manager

Not to be confused with a Content Producer, Content Managers are responsible for the planning, managing, and execution of the content creation process. Not only do Social Media Managers curate a brand’s online presence, they are also responsible for building editorial calendars and creating, monitoring, and analysing social media campaign results. Community Manager

The role of a Community Manager is to build an online community around the brand they are working with, and forge lasting relationships with the brand’s customers. This is done by interacting with the brand’s customers on a regular basis, and being consistent with the brand’s message. Although it looks similar to the role of the Social Media Manager, it is not quite the same. The Community Manager will be responsible for the brand’s online community interactions and will also need excellent interpersonal relationship skills in order to answer the communities questions in a polite and friendly manner, and build lasting relationships in order to build brand loyalty.

SEO/SEM Specialist

SEO stands for Search Engine Optimisation, and SEM stands for Search Engine Marketing. The difference between SEO and SEM is simply that Search Engine Optimisation is part of Search Engine Marketing or Search Marketing as it is commonly known. Both processes aim to increase visibility in search engines by using a set of complex strategies that involve high-quality content, web page source code, and the user experience on the web page. The SEO/SEM Specialist is the professional in charge of applying this set of techniques used to position a site or blog at the top of the page when users search for it on a search engine.

The SEO/SEM Specialist is responsible for researching and identifying keywords which will help rank the brand highly on search engines such as Google, before ensuring that the content is tailored to naturally include them. When this is successful, the content on a blog or website ranks higher up on the search results page and thus reaches more of the brand’s target audience. This will naturally increase sales and brand awareness as you now have access to a larger audience. Ultimately, the act of applying SEO techniques should lead to the brand’s target audience finding content which is beneficial to them. UI/UX Designer
