JUST IN: Fynn Road accident causes power outage

Emergency services advises the public to stay away from Fynn Road due to live wires exposed after the accident.

ELECTRICITY is off at Fynn Road, Amanzimtoti, after a car lost control, left the road and took down an electricity pole this afternoon (October 15).

According to available information, the car was driven by a young man and was coming down the corner from Umdoni Road into Fynn Road when it left the road. Emergency services arrived shortly at the scene, which had been made more dangerous by the fallen live electrical cables.

The young man did not appear to have sustained serious injuries. Road users are asked to stear clear of Fynn Road while emergency services clear the scene.
