The walk took place along the peaceful pathways beside the Ezimbokodweni River, offering adventure and education to those in attendance.
With his wealth of knowledge and passion for the environment, Munro captivated the group with fascinating insights into the local flora, fauna and birdlife. As the group wandered along the riverbanks, Munro pointed out indigenous plants, explained their role in the ecosystem, and identified various bird species, offering a deeper understanding of the region’s natural beauty. His enthusiasm for conservation was contagious, and the walkers were soon absorbed in the rich biodiversity surrounding them.
The Amanzimtoti Country Club Conservancy has become a beacon of environmental care, and Munro’s guided tours are a perfect opportunity to witness these efforts first-hand. With a background as a pilot and later as a professional tour guide, he brings a unique perspective to each walk, blending his life experiences with his love for nature. His guided tours are filled with not only scientific facts but also stories and anecdotes that add a personal touch to the experience.
