In a statement, PT Alarms said it had received a call from its client in Merebank earlier that day about the incident.

“The puppies were allegedly stolen and sold by a male suspect. The PT Alarms Tactical unit is serious about fighting crime, whether it’s to protect human or fur friends, and the manager went the extra mile to track the buyers, which led them to Isipingo,” it said.

The suspect was apprehended in Merebank and was taken into custody by Wentworth police. The puppies were returned to the rightful owners and parents.
