Warner Beach entrant hopes to win beauty pageant
During her reign, if she wins, Grace Turner of Amanzimtoti High School hopes to advocate for anti-bullying and mental health in youth.
GRACE Turner (14) of Warner Beach was recently selected as a finalist for Miss North Coast KZN Teen, adding to other pageants she is a finalist in.

She is also a finalist for Miss South of The Equator 2024 and Miss Teen Inspire SA 2024, and she was a finalist for Miss South of The Equator 2023. In 2019, she won the Miss Highland Gathering title.
Last year, Miss North Coast KZN distributed over 25 000 care packages to more than 17 000 non-profit organisations and hopes to make an even bigger impact this year.
The Grade Eight Amanzimtoti High School learner said that if she were to win, she hopes to advocate for anti-bullying in youngsters and schools during her reign.
“I would like to help make a real change in the way the schooling system handles bullying, as well as changing the stigma around mental health in pre-teens and teenagers. Mental health is a very real thing and it is often overlooked, especially in teenagers, sometimes leading to catastrophic circumstances,” said Grace.
In her spare time, when she is not strutting her stuff on the catwalk, she loves cooking and is an avid dancer.
As with any pageant, Grace has a few tasks to perform, and one of them is raising donations for care packs. These will be distributed by winners to victims of gender-based violence under the Rise Up Movement.
