Isipingo Beach residents crowned winners at pageant

Aadila Hoosen was crowned Mrs Bollywood Durban and Mohamed Junaid Hoosen Mr Bollywood Durban.

THE Mr and Mrs Bollywood Durban contest, held recently, saw two Isipingo Beach residents walk away with crowns in their respective categories.

Held at the swanky Radisson Blu Hotel, the event attracted a full house and eager crowd cheering for their favourite contestants. Roshan Singh, who is the director and producer of the event, said the event was successful and elegant beyond all measure.

Aadila Hoosen of Isipingo Beach and a mother of three bagged the Mrs Bollywood Durban after wowing the judges. She said she stands for women’s empowerment and is against gender-based violence.

“I come from humble beginnings and am a self-made businesswoman. To me, family is everything, and I believe that the key ingredient to keeping lasting relationships is love, trust and honesty,” said Aadila.

Mohamed Junaid Hoosen, who won the Mr Bollywood Durban trophy, said he is going to use his platform to encourage the youth to follow their dreams and never give up.

“To be successful, you have to have respect and honesty in your business dealings,” he said. Singh congratulated both winners on their achievements, wishing them the best.
