#SardineRun2024: Boat capsizes in Umgababa

A search for two of the crew members is underway.

THE Sardine Run got off to a tragic start this morning (June 11) as reports have come in about a boat capsizing while netting in Umgababa just after 08:00.

According to the reports, one person (the skipper) has been declared dead while the search for two others is still underway.

The boat apparently launched at the Boardwalk in Winklespruit this morning.
