Isipingo police officer laid to rest

Warrant Officer Kevin Chetty is survived by his wife and two children.

SPEAKERS at the funeral service of the Isipingo police officer who died on May 11 described him as a loving man who was dedicated to his family and his work.

The highly emotional service was held today (May 15) and was live-streamed on social media.

Warrant Officer Kevin Chetty (50), who was based at the Isipingo Police Station, died of a gunshot wound he suffered in Lotus Park. While no official announcement has been made regarding his manner of death, sources have revealed that it was self-inflicted.

Chetty is survived by his wife and two children.
